REACT attended St Benedicts School Engineering Awareness day on Saturday 13th October 2007.

REACT joined other engineering companies and training organisations to give an insight to young people interested in engineering careers.  A host of interative activities were on offer to show students the role engineering plays in every day life. Tim Fox who represented REACT at the event said such events are valuable to young people in helping them decide their career path. "There aren't enough engineers coming through in this country so events like this are great at encouraging young people into what is an rewarding and interesting career," said Tim.

One of the stars of the show was Oscar the Robot, who was brought to the event by SETPOINT Cumbria. Tony Gill of SETPOINT said "By introducing engineering as a hands-on, fun way, it gets people enthusiastic about the subject".
