Start your engineering career off with a BANG!!

The Into Engineering™ seminar - your first step into engineering is now firmly established as an annual event.  The seminar involves a week long simulated decommissioning project for local Year 12 students. The project gives the students an opportunity to experience a range of activities typically carried out by the professional engineer.

Throughout the week guidance is provided by professional engineers from the company and on the final day the students complete a presentation of the project. At the end of the week students should have sufficient information to make an informed decision about pursuing a career as an engineer.

Each year, the week concludes with an inspiring presentation, from a renowned engineer. Recent subjects have included the London Eye, the Falkirk Wheel, I K Brunel and rocket systems, which ended with a BIG BANG when rockets were launched from the science park.

Running successfully since 1999, previous students have returned to the company under sponsorship, the Year In Industry Scheme, summer placements and graduate engineers. To apply for our Into Engineering™ seminar local students can either contact their Head of Year or contact REACT direct. Please click here for a Online Application Form.
