Trevor Craig, Steve Knight and Pete Woolaghan established the company in 1994 to offer comprehensive engineering consultancy services to the developing nuclear decommissioning industry. Dynamic, highly qualified and experienced across a variety of engineering fields, their professional trademarks are technical expertise, independence, innovation and integrity - qualities integral to REACT’s own recruitment policy. Phil Redfern joined REACT Engineering in 2002 for a Year in Industry after completing his A-levels. Phil went on to study Mechanical Engineering at the University of Leeds, working for REACT during the summer holidays. Following graduation, Phil returned to REACT and has led and delivered a diverse portfolio of projects supporting the nuclear industry. Phil’s experience includes provision of engineering and project management consultancy support to complex nuclear asset care, new build and decommissioning programmes and projects. In his free time, Phil can be found out on his mountain bike somewhere in the Lakes. Phil is REACT’s Managing Director.
Tim Fox joined REACT Engineering in 1996 after graduating from Nottingham University. During his time at REACT Tim has undertaken and managed a wide range of projects supporting the nuclear industry. Tim’s experience includes the ability to rationalise and solve complex engineering problems, the development of decommissioning strategies and methodologies and preparation of project management plans, safety and environmental justifications for a wide range of nuclear plants. Tim is a keen photographer who enjoys capturing the inspirational Lake District scenery and is a member of the Cockermouth Round Table. Tim is currently REACT’s Business Development Director and a Business Area Manager. Tim is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer.
Paul Botterill joined Albright & Wilson after graduating from Nottingham University. He spent over 4 years designing and commissioning chemical plants and process control systems. Paul joined REACT Engineering in 1999 and has undertaken and managed a wide range of projects in the nuclear industry. Paul’s experience includes the development of business cases, project strategies and methodologies and preparation of project management plans, safety and environmental justifications for a wide range of nuclear plants. In his spare time Paul enjoys cooking and going for long walks amidst the stunning Lake District scenery with his family and his dogs. Paul is currently REACT’s Finance and Assurance Director and a Principal Consultant. Paul is a Fellow of the IChemE.
