Rob McOuat - Consultant

Rob McOuat from Dunblane, joined REACT in January 2002 after gaining a BEng in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Aberdeen.

During his time at REACT, Rob has worked on a variety of engineering projects at various sites in the UK. His experience includes development of front end project strategies, safety case strategies and methodology / scheme development.  Rob also specialises in the production of safety cases and safety case / project implementation documents. Rob routinely consults on nuclear clean up and safety case issues.

He viewed REACT's relatively small size as very positive because it would give him greater opportunities to win early responsibility. He explains: "A key reason for me joining REACT was its size. A small company gives you the opportunity to learn from others and share knowledge and ideas. A smaller company relies heavily on each team member so there's a real drive to place people in the best roles to suit their skills. I have been able to manage my own projects almost from day one and this has meant I was able to influence the way they were run and make suggestions for improvement. This early responsibility is very empowering and I have received genuine recognition for my achievements".
