REACT Engineering Ltd was awarded £7,000 from the Royal Academy of Engineering (RAE) to continue their important workforce development programmes.
It is the fifth year in a row that REACT has been officially recognised by the RAE. Trevor Craig, Director of REACT, said: “We are thrilled that once again the RAE has recognised the valuable work we do in promoting staff development in engineering. It is a tremendous third party endorsement of our philosophy that you attract the best recruits if you offer first-class training and development programmes.” Ian Bowbrick, RAE Manager of Postgraduate and Professional Development, praised REACT’s “outstanding commitment” to the professional training of its engineers. He said: “A career in engineering is a career which evolves as new technologies emerge. Enabling new engineers – particularly those employed in small and medium-sized enterprises – to embrace these new technologies and enhance their skills is what our EPDAs are for. REACT is a deserving recipient because it understands that a company’s most important resource is the knowledge and skills base of its employees.”
