Engineering and Project Delivery

What you will do

• Take ownership of a defined project, work package or delivery scope from mobilisation through completion.
• Turn requirements and engineering outputs into clear scopes, plans, deliverables, interfaces and actions.
• Coordinate engineering, site, safety, planning, commercial, supply-chain and client stakeholders.
• Maintain a credible view of progress, risks, assumptions, decisions, changes, dependencies and resource needs.
• Chair or support delivery meetings and ensure actions lead to decisions and progress.
• Use site knowledge to test whether plans, designs and sequences are practical and safely deliverable.
• Support procurement, supplier engagement, contractor management and technical/commercial clarification as required.
• Prepare concise reports and recommendations that give clients and React decision confidence.
• Identify blockers early, develop recovery options and escalate proportionately.
• Capture lessons and improve the way React integrates engineering and project delivery.

What success should look like

• The project or package has one clear owner, an agreed scope, visible priorities and a realistic delivery plan.
• Engineering, commercial, schedule and site considerations are integrated rather than managed separately.
• Risks and blockers are surfaced early with clear actions, decisions and escalation routes.
• Clients receive reliable information and have confidence that commitments will be followed through.
• Site work is prepared with enough technical and organisational clarity to reduce avoidable delay and rework.

Essential experience & evidence

• Relevant experience delivering engineering, construction, installation, commissioning, maintenance, modification or decommissioning work in a site environment.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and maintain control of scope, actions, risks and decisions.
• Practical understanding of safety, permits, access, sequencing, interfaces and the realities of working on an operational or regulated site.
• Clear communication and confidence dealing with clients, engineers, supervisors, suppliers and contractors.
• Evidence of ownership, reliability and constructive challenge when a plan is not credible.
• Ability and willingness to travel to and work at client sites as required.

Desirable, but not essential

• Nuclear, decommissioning, defence, energy, process plant or major-infrastructure site experience.
• Engineering degree or technical qualification for the Project Engineer route; recognised project-management qualification for the Project Manager route.
• Experience with NEC contracts, project controls, CDM, temporary works, commissioning or contractor management.
• Experience managing fixed-price, target-cost or multidisciplinary consultancy work packages.
• Current or previous security clearance / site access where relevant.
