Graduates

Graduates at React typically have a Science, Maths or Engineering degree, however we welcome a wide range of graduates to support our mission. What we look for is a passion for creating a sustainable future and an open and challenging mindset.

Our core business is about solving problems for our clients, so if you think you have the skills and enthusiasm required to rationalise complex problems and develop innovative solutions across a number of engineering disciplines, apply now: joinus@react-engineering.co.uk.

What’s involved?

As a Graduate you will be assigned a mentor to support you throughout your career at React. Your mentor will help you to identify opportunities for development, as well as providing advice and guidance. You will have plenty of room to develop your knowledge and skills to enable you to be the best you can be. We are passionate about developing and rewarding our talented staff.

Our Graduates earn a competitive salary in an industry that pays above the average across a number of disciplines, as well as many employee benefits such as flexible working, private health insurance and a competitive pension package.

Past graduates at React have gone on to become technical leaders in the industry, company directors and some have even started their own businesses.

Our Managing Director joined React as a Graduate!

Phil Redfern: Managing Director

“I joined React back in 2002 after finishing my A-levels on a gap year through the Royal Academy of Engineering’s Year in Industry Scheme. I went on to study for a Masters in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Leeds.

After I graduated, I returned to React to manage one of React’s key business areas and became Sales and Operations Director in 2014. In 2016, I became Managing Director and in 2019 carried out a management buy-out, becoming the majority shareholder in the business.

Ever since I started at the company, React has given me the opportunity to shape my own career, keep challenging myself and work in a great environment with likeminded people who want to make a difference and get things done. We’ve an ethos and approach which is pretty unique and I want us to continue to build our reach and capability whilst staying true to the values which have underpinned our success”.
